Be captivated by the magic of Africa

When the world was still young, the baobab stood proudly among the trees, the most majestic of all, with its imposing trunk and crown as far as the eye could see.
But such greatness had made him vain and arrogant, and the gods, to punish him, decided to uproot him and replant him upside down, with his roots reaching towards the sky.
In this way, the baobab learned humility, becoming the Tree of Life: a point of reference for animals and men, a source of shelter, water, nourishment, and wisdom for those who met it along the way.
From the fascination with this and other legends, heard around campfires, Baobab Tales was born, a tour operator dedicated to those who wish to discover Southern Africa in an authentic, profound and respectful way.
My goal is to create unforgettable adventures that span the heart of Africa.
From its stunning natural beauty to a fascinating and little-known history to an extraordinary multiculturalism, there is so much to discover and explore.
I specialize in overland, historical, and cultural tours, focusing on creating immersive experiences that pay homage to the extraordinary histories, landscapes, and nature of this unique and fascinating continent.
Guided tours are designed for those seeking a hassle-free, insightful experience. Along Africa's fascinating roads, I'll share the stories of the places and their people with you—just relax and enjoy the journey.
Organized self-drives , on the other hand, offer the freedom to explore at your own pace, but with all the security of a well-defined plan. Accommodations are pre-booked and an activity program is included, allowing you to maximize your time without sacrificing spontaneity. It's the ideal option for those who enjoy driving and want to discover Africa independently, but without having to worry about planning.
Lorenzo Gaspari
Born and raised in Turin, I spent a year studying in Canada, where I fell in love with the open, unspoiled spaces. After graduating in History, a great passion I still carry with me today, I worked in event planning and ran a travel agency.
In 2012, I made the decision to move to South Africa, where I pursued a career in technology and dedicated my free time to exploring and better understanding this fascinating, yet under-reported, part of the world.
The Covid pandemic period forced me to reflect on what I truly wanted, and gave me the opportunity to dedicate time to studying the history, geology, and nature of these amazing places... and finally to leave my office life behind and share my knowledge with you.
